Falana returns with “Energy Re-Up”

Falana is back with the last focus song from her widely praised Rising EP, “Energy” Re-Up, which included the hit singles “Joy” and “Sweet Adetola.” Falana’s sound, being one of the original Alte artists, could never be described as just R&B or Afrobeat.

The Energy Re-Up adds a live funky bassline and layered keys to the original USA/Jamaican producer Tyler Richards’ dancehall inspired composition, with additional production by BK2/The Fullest.

Sir Dauda’s additional vocals to this entertaining melody give a melodic rap surrounding Falana’s lovely vocal performance, which centers on the delights of being young, carefree, and in love with everything, including life!

The audio and NFT’s release are accompanied by a “positive vibes” music video created by Falana and directed by the Lagos-based 2 Brothers, who have previously worked with notable artists such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Asa, Ladipoe, and Sauti Sol.

The music video for ‘Energy Re-Up’ is a true “female power” affair, complete with bedrooms, road trips, parties, and performance components, all perfectly capturing the sound and performance of the single, which is ideally suited for release as a summer anthem and on everyone’s playlists.
