Ex-Kaizer Chiefs star Reneilwe Letsholonyane battles bank repossession

South African soccer star Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane is the latest in a long line of players having trouble making bank repayments.

The star allegedly bought the car in 2015 and was supposed to pay over R7 000 over 71 months as well as a balloon payment thereafter – which he failed to do.

According to the Daily Sun, Letsholonyane has failed to make payments on his BMW 118i and this has resulted in legal action taken against him.

As per the publication, BMW Financial Services first took action for non-payment in 2020 through a letter of demand from their attorneys Velile Tinto and Associates.

After he failed to make any payments, the bank was reportedly forced to take the matter to court to apply for an order for the car to be repossessed.

A local sheriff has since been tasked with the job of repossessing the vehicle.

He also represented SuperSport United on 90 occasions, Jomo Cosmos 50 times, as well as Highlands Park (16) and TS Galaxy (11).

Reneilwe Letsholonyane also has 54 caps and two goals for Bafana Bafana.
