Disney has unveiled new details about its upcoming cruise ship, Disney Believe, promising passengers a holiday experience filled with live entertainment, themed restaurants, family attractions and luxury accommodation.
The vessel is scheduled to make its maiden voyage on December 18, 2027, joining Disney Cruise Line as the fourth ship in its Wish-class fleet.
Designed to appeal to families, Disney enthusiasts and travellers seeking premium experiences at sea, the ship will introduce several new attractions while bringing back popular restaurants and entertainment venues found on its sister ships.
Among the biggest highlights is the world’s first stage adaptation of Encanto, alongside redesigned theatrical productions, immersive dining experiences and exclusive accommodation inspired by some of Disney’s most celebrated stories.
Encanto Takes Centre Stage With New Live Entertainment
One of the ship’s major attractions will be a stage production of Encanto, marking the first time the popular animated film will receive a theatrical adaptation of this kind.
Passengers will also be able to watch Tangled: The Musical, which will feature a reimagined set design, as well as Disney Seas the Adventure, a Broadway-style production created for Disney Cruise Line audiences.
The entertainment programme will extend beyond the theatre, with themed experiences designed to keep families occupied throughout their voyage.
Gazelle, a lively entertainment hub inspired by the Zootropolis film series, will offer activities throughout the day and evening. Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde will also appear in a new family show, marking another first for Disney Cruise Line.
Moana Statue to Welcome Guests in the Grand Hall
The Grand Hall will serve as one of the ship’s central gathering spaces, with its design celebrating adventure, exploration and the natural world.
A statue of Moana will occupy a prominent position in the hall, reflecting the character’s connection to the ocean and her spirit of discovery.
The surrounding décor will include an ocean-inspired carpet and a striking chandelier designed to evoke the movement of the sea.
The design continues Disney’s approach of giving each ship in the Wish-class fleet its own visual identity, combining familiar characters with carefully themed interiors.
Frozen-Inspired Restaurant Introduces a New Dining Experience
Food will play a major role in the Disney Believe experience, with several new restaurants and cafés joining established dining favourites.
One of the most anticipated additions is Oaken’s Table: A Frozen Family Feast, where guests will dine in a forest-inspired setting resembling a traditional Scandinavian summerhouse courtyard.
The restaurant will incorporate music from the Frozen films, allowing families to enjoy familiar soundtracks while sharing their meals.
Two new cafés, Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora, will also serve coffee, tea and speciality beverages, offering passengers additional places to relax between activities.
Disney Animation History Comes to the Dining Room
The popular 1923 restaurant will also feature aboard Disney Believe, continuing a concept already found on sister ships.
The venue will surround diners with more than 1,000 drawings, props and other animation materials sourced directly from the Walt Disney Archives.
The collection will offer a glimpse into the creative process behind Disney’s animated productions, making the restaurant an attraction for visitors interested in the company’s history as well as its food.
For casual dining, Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods will provide an open-air food court featuring themed food stalls.
The ship will also introduce Pluto’s Pita Platters, an exclusive dining option serving Mediterranean-inspired dishes.
Guests looking for something sweet can visit Inside Out: Joyful Sweets, a dessert shop inspired by Inside Out 2. The venue will offer nearly 20 flavours of gelato and ice cream.
New Bars and Lounges Cater to Adult Passengers
Although Disney Believe is designed with families in mind, adults will have access to several dedicated venues for relaxation and evening entertainment.
Sea Notes will take inspiration from Ariel’s grotto, while the Wishing Well will feature an atmosphere reminiscent of a vintage storybook.
Skygazers, meanwhile, will adopt an observatory-inspired pub design, providing another setting for adults to unwind.
Passengers seeking a quieter retreat can visit Quiet Cove, an adults-only area featuring an infinity pool, whirlpool spas, a bar and a café.
Returning venues will include the Haunted Mansion Parlor, Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement and The Rose, giving guests access to established Disney Cruise Line favourites alongside the ship’s new offerings.
Seven Pools and a 760-Foot Water Ride for Families
The upper decks will be divided into three themed districts, combining swimming areas, dining facilities and spaces for relaxation.
The family-focused district will centre on Mickey and Friends, featuring seven pools and a large screen for watching Disney films and live sports.
Thrill-seekers will also be able to experience AquaMouse, a 760-foot-long water attraction that combines elements of a water ride with Disney storytelling.
Younger passengers will have their own dedicated aquatic area inspired by Toy Story. The water wonderland will be designed specifically for toddlers and young children, offering age-appropriate fun.
Disney Believe will also provide dedicated children’s and youth spaces for passengers aged three to 17, ensuring that different age groups have activities suited to them.
Luxury Staterooms and Four Royal Suites Revealed
Accommodation aboard the ship will range from standard staterooms to premium concierge options and four royal suites.
The staterooms will feature new papercut-style artwork inspired by Disney classics, including The Lion King, Moana and Coco. The company says the rooms will prioritise space, comfort and functionality.
Guests who select concierge accommodation will receive a higher level of dedicated service and exclusive access to selected areas and amenities.
The four royal suites will include the Royal Reef Suites, inspired by The Little Mermaid, and the Royal Rose Suites, drawing their design from Beauty and the Beast.
The ship will also feature the exclusive Believe Tower Suite, inspired by Magic Kingdom Park. Spanning nearly 2,000 square feet across two levels, the accommodation is expected to be one of the vessel’s standout luxury offerings.
Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Tinker Bell Feature in Ship Design
Disney characters will also feature prominently on the exterior of the vessel.
Large sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear will appear at the stern, depicting the Toy Story characters hitching a ride on the ship.
At the bow, passengers will find a delicate, hand-painted filigree design featuring Tinker Bell as she appeared in Disney’s 1953 animated classic Peter Pan.
These character details will give Disney Believe a distinctive appearance while reinforcing the storytelling theme that runs throughout its interior spaces.
Disney Expands Its Wish-Class Cruise Experience
The arrival of Disney Believe will expand the company’s Wish-class fleet with a combination of new entertainment, family attractions and premium accommodation.
From the first-ever stage adaptation of Encanto to the Frozen-themed restaurant and the exclusive Believe Tower Suite, the ship will introduce several experiences not currently available in the same form across the fleet.
With its maiden voyage scheduled for December 18, 2027, Disney Believe is positioning itself as a major addition to the company’s cruise offering, bringing together Disney storytelling, themed dining and resort-style leisure facilities in a single holiday experience.
