Deputy Chief of Staff of Armed Forces attends closing ceremony of ‘Armed Forces Shooting Competition’

ABU DHABI, 30th December, 2021 – Lt.

General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, today attended the closing ceremony of the Shooting Competition for the 2021/2022 training year, which saw an infantry parade.

The competitions took place under the framework of the Ministry of Defence’s keenness to raise the combat effectiveness of officers and soldiers and create a competitive environment for armed forces units.

On the occasion, Lt.

General Al Mazrouei highlighted the keenness of the Ministry of Defence to achieve the goals of such events and competitions, which consist of training a qualified generation of officers and soldiers capable of competing in all military events.

The ceremony began with the arrival of the event’s patron, followed by the playing of the National Anthem.

Al Mazrouei then inspected the officers participating in the event and honoured the command of the Presidential Guards for receiving the Excellence Shield 2021/2022.

He then honoured the units that won the top three places in all competitions.
