On the 7th of February 2022, the Government of The Gambia, through the Petroleum Commission, opened a licensing round for the A1 Block, which was first announced at the 2021 Africa Oil Week (www.Africa-OilWeek.com).

We’ve had a number of requests to extend the deadline for submitting proposals, which is set for June 6, 2022, since the start of the Licensing Round. The government welcomes these requests and recognizes that many businesses require additional time to finalize and submit their plans.

As a result, the Government has decided to extend the deadline for submitting proposals until September 6, 2022 at 17:00 (local Gambia time). All bids must be submitted by this date in compliance with the specifications of the RFP document, which can be downloaded from www.MoPE.gm.

The Gambia looks forward to receiving more information throughout the year and thanks Africa Oil Week for continuing to promote the Gambian A1 Block round.
