Chris Rock Takes a Jab at Elon Musk
Chris Rock recently threw some shade at Elon Musk, poking fun at the billionaire’s ties to former President Donald Trump, especially considering Trump’s stance on illegal immigration.
The comedian took aim at Musk during a segment on Saturday Night Live, sparking a lot of attention.
A Comedic Roast of Trump and Musk
In a clip that resurfaced, Rock couldn’t resist taking a jab at both Trump and Musk.
The world’s richest man, born in South Africa, has had a significant role in the Trump administration, particularly with his position in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
Rock, not missing a beat, made fun of Trump’s push to deport illegal immigrants, especially targeting Mexicans.
Rock humorously referenced the Menendez Brothers being sent back to Mexico, despite their Cuban heritage, before shifting focus to Musk, a South African by birth.
He quipped, “Trump is not playing. This time, he’s working with the number one African American in the world—the richest African American in the world, Elon Musk.”
He continued, poking fun at Musk’s personal life, saying, “Elon’s got more kids than Cleveland Brown from Family Guy.”
He also joked about Musk’s South African roots, suggesting, “Nobody knows how to get rid of people like a South African.
He’s gonna put them on a rocket and call it ‘SpaceMex.’”
The Immigration Debate and Musk’s Background
Elon Musk’s immigration history has been a point of controversy in the U.S. The South African-born entrepreneur didn’t immediately acquire U.S. citizenship.
He first moved to Canada in 1989 and later to the U.S. in 1995, where he started his various successful ventures, including Tesla and SpaceX.
Musk holds three citizenships: South African, Canadian, and American.
Former President Joe Biden once called Musk an “illegal foreigner,” accusing him of working in the U.S. without proper documentation.
Musk quickly responded, clarifying that he had worked in the U.S. legally under a J-1 visa, which transitioned to an H1-B visa.
Musk didn’t hold back, calling Biden’s comments desperate after losing the election.
