In an Instagram post, the political activist and actor called on Nigerian youths to revolt against the country, drawing inspiration from the unrest in France following the killing of a 17-year-old boy by a policeman.
Bayo Onanuga and Others Criticize Charly Boy’s Statement
Bayo Onanuga, in a Twitter post, condemned Charly Boy’s advice to engage in violence, deeming it irresponsible.
He further expressed the view that security agencies should take immediate action to bring the singer to order.

Additionally, several other Nigerians took to Twitter, calling for Charly Boy’s arrest for allegedly attempting to incite civil unrest.
Charly Boy Mocks Calls for Arrest, Criticizes DSS
Responding to the calls for his arrest, Charly Boy took to Twitter to mock those demanding his apprehension.
He criticized the Department of State Services (DSS), claiming that while they may struggle to arrest actual criminals, it appears easier for them to detain individuals who speak out against such criminals.
Charly Boy dismissed those calling for his arrest as “useless Nigerians” and referred to them as monkeys, expressing amusement at their reactions.
Defending his Statement and Criticizing Detractors
Charly Boy reiterated his belief that Nigerian youths should take control of their destiny and dismantle what he referred to as a “criminal enterprise.”

He dismissed those criticizing his comment as foolish individuals attempting to portray themselves as tough or gangsters.
In light of the controversy surrounding Charly Boy’s statement, public opinion remains divided, with some supporting his call for change while others condemn his remarks as inflammatory and inciting violence.
