The BH Africa Startup Awards, held in 2023, celebrated the vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem across the continent, featuring over 80 startups.
A panel of judges comprising professionals from leading tech companies and venture capital firms evaluated and recognized nine standout startups, awarding prizes valued at approximately $21,000 in the form of promo codes and exclusive meetings with industry leaders.
Categories for Prize Allocation
Startups participating in the competition will be judged across six main categories, including Mobility & Prop-tech, Climate & Agri-tech, Fintech & Insur-tech, Space & Emerging/Hi-tech, AI for Good, and Edtech/Civic tech.
Eligibility Criteria
The competition is open to African and Middle Eastern startups aspiring to expand globally or achieve significant growth milestones.
Eligible participants include campus-based startups, pre-seed startups with market validation and a product prototype, and seed stage startups.
