When you hear about young kids excelling academically, it’s impressive — but when those kids are twins with a combined IQ score of 314, that’s something truly special.
Meet Krish and Keira Arora, two 11-year-olds from Hounslow who might just be Britain’s smartest siblings.
They recently joined Mensa, the exclusive international society for people with the highest IQs, after scoring way above average on their tests.
What It Takes to Join Mensa and How These Twins Did It
To become a member of Mensa, you have to score in the top 2 percent on a recognized intelligence test.
Krish and Keira didn’t just make the cut — they blew past it.
Krish’s IQ is an astonishing 162, which experts say is even higher than Albert Einstein’s estimated IQ of 160.
He joined Mensa at age 10 last November.
Not far behind, his twin sister Keira scored an impressive 152 and joined the club earlier this month.
Their mom, Mauli, shared her pride with My London, saying, “Sometimes you think about it and feel like they’ve done something impossible because they’re so young.
It’s remarkable — we never thought something like this would happen.”
More Than Just Brains: The Twins’ Talents Beyond IQ
The siblings don’t just shine in academics; they’re also creatively gifted.
Both attend their local state primary school and show impressive skills in music and technology.
Krish has “perfect pitch” and plays the piano beautifully, describing music as something that “makes me feel calm and peaceful.”
Meanwhile, Keira is the lead singer in her school’s rock band and says singing boosts her confidence and happiness.
“I don’t think I’ve ever experienced stage fright,” she says with a smile.
Big Dreams at a Young Age: What Krish and Keira Want to Do
Despite being only 11, both twins have a clear vision for their futures.
Keira wants to become a lawyer and is already interested in commercial law because she’s great at negotiating with people.
Krish, having completed Year 9 maths before starting secondary school, dreams of becoming a mathematician or an actuary.
He admits sometimes his teachers say, “Krish, not you, don’t answer,” but he’s humble about his intelligence: “I still have a lot to learn — I haven’t done A Levels yet, but I’m very privileged to know I’m really smart.”
How Their Parents Nurture Their Talents While Keeping Things Balanced
Krish and Keira’s parents, Mauli and Nischal, are engineers who’ve set some thoughtful rules to help their children thrive.
For instance, the family’s lights go off at 9:30 p.m. to ensure a good night’s sleep.
Video games are limited, and the twins’ media is carefully monitored for age-appropriate content.
After school, they eat and then spend an hour doing something productive — whether that’s French, economics, or robotics — followed by an hour to relax, play piano, or hang out with friends.
What’s Next for the Twins: Moving on to Prestigious Secondary Schools
This year, Keira is starting at Tiffin Girls’ School in Kingston, a highly selective school known for academic excellence.
Krish will attend Queen Elizabeth School in Barnet, one of the UK’s top grammar schools.
With their remarkable intellects and clear ambitions, these twins are certainly ones to watch in the coming years.
