Al Ahly president El-Khatib called a meeting with Mosimane and his entire squad, including Tau and the entire technical staff.
He is unpleased with the club’s recent performances in the Egyptian Premier League. Meaning, Mosimane is one of the first men to be spoken to since he is head coach. Jingles has achieved and conquered just about everything possible as a coach since joining the Egyptian giants.
However, it is this seasons league that is of concern to their presidents.
Unfortunately, given the magnitude of the club, nothing less then brilliance every season will suffice. The mere fact that this meeting was called despite Al Ahly being on track o defend the CAF Champions League speaks wonders for the expectations of this side.
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE MEETING WITH MOSIMANE AND TAU…
The meeting was held in headquarters in Gezira, Cairo this week with both South African’s present, according to iDiskiTimes.
The Red Devils have only managed one goal and no wins in their last three matches. This is a concern to the El Khatib who addressed Mosimane, Tau and the rest of the squad and technical staff.
He firmly reminded everybody what the club provides them in order to win and how important it is that they get their form back in order, according to the same publication. Mosimane will want his side to bounce back as they did in the CAFCL.
After losing both encounters to Mamelodi Sundowns they were left in dire straights… they managed to scrape into the knockout stages by winning their final group matches and now they are favoured to defeat El Setif and make it to yet another final.
Expect Mosimane and Al Ahly to bounce back strongly, as they always have.
