Hope Uzodinma Hosts Campaign Team, Affirms Party’s Choice
Hope Uzodinma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and the Governor of Imo State, made this announcement during a meeting in Abuja with the Abbas/Kalu joint ticket campaign team, led by the Joint Task–10th Assembly.
APC’s Zoning Formula and Choice of Presiding Officers
The APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) previously released the zoning formula for the leadership positions in the 10th National Assembly.
According to the party’s decision, Tajudeen Abbas from Kaduna (North-West) has been selected as the Speaker, and Benjamin Kalu from Abia (South-East) as the Deputy Speaker.
Uzodinma Urges Governors to Support Party’s Preference
During the meeting, Governor Uzodinma emphasized that the APC had chosen the best candidates for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker roles.
He urged the governors to ensure the party’s preference and vision are realized during the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly on June 13.
Commendation for Coalition Members and Call for Unity
Governor Uzodinma commended the coalition members, consisting of representatives from eight political parties, for coming together to support the joint ticket.

He emphasized the importance of a strong Legislature and urged them to reach out to dissatisfied individuals, promoting unity and cooperation for the benefit of the government and the people.
Collaboration for Successful Governance and Legislative Achievement
Governor Uzodinma stressed the significance of collaboration between the Legislature and the Executive for effective governance.
He encouraged the legislators to work harmoniously with the majority and the government, highlighting the need for synergy to achieve progress and meet the expectations of their constituents.
Appreciation and Trust Expressed by Abbas
Tajudeen Abbas expressed his gratitude to Governor Uzodinma for his support and expressed confidence in the governor’s commitment to the parliament, as he himself is a product of the legislative system.
