Funny attempts were made to free a chipmunk caught in a window by a terrified Massachusetts woman.

Ashley Caron, whose Tiktok handle is @getburly, shared video of her unsuccessful attempt along with the snarky message, “This went great #traumatized.”

At the beginning of the film, Caron advises her children to leave the room because there is a chipmunk on the glass. She also shows her fear and begs the chipmunk, “Listen, let’s make a deal, baby.” I’ll safely get you outside.

After droning on for a while, she finally says, “I just need to get with it.” I’m going to open this, so just leave and go back to living your merry little existence.

Caron asks the chipmunk, “Please don’t bite me, don’t do anything crazy, don’t give me any diseases or my family,” before opening the window just a little bit, causing the chipmunk to move for her to get alarmed.

She then calls for her kids and assures them that “everything is alright” if they hear her scream. Her children respond by laughing uncontrollably.

The mother, who lists having autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on Instagram, slides the upper glass further lower as she watches the chipmunk descend.

When she realizes the chipmunk entered the house through the window rather than the other, she panic out and moves away from it.

Caron points upward and says, “Nope, you were right the first time.” “That’s how! No, no, no!”

The dog of the household then approaches the window and grabs the chipmunk with its mouth as it attempts to enter the house via the window.

However, Caron can still be heard shouting “no!” in the distance.

The video has more than 2.5 million likes and 26,000 comments since it was posted on TikTok around a week ago.

The most popular comment on Caron’s video reads, “[I don’t know] what I was anticipating but it was NOT the dog.”

A TikTok user posted, “That dog stated you taking too damn long!”

Another TikTok user wrote, “If I yell everything is fine, everything starts to not be fine.”
