President Vladimir Putin confirmed that the United States acknowledges the challenging nature of the Ukrainian situation.
This statement came during a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, emphasizing that solutions to the conflict are far from simple, according to TASS.
“It seems to me that such understanding exists,” Putin said, reflecting on the American awareness of the difficult decisions surrounding Ukraine.
Leaders Convene in Kyrgyzstan
The discussion between Putin and Lukashenko took place in Kyrgyzstan, where the Russian leader is currently on an official visit.
Lukashenko joined the talks on November 26, according to reports from the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo.
The meeting offered a platform for both leaders to discuss the ongoing situation in Ukraine and broader regional matters.
Belarus Praised for Peace Efforts
Throughout the conversation, Putin acknowledged Belarus’s active role in peace negotiations related to Ukraine.
He praised Lukashenko personally, highlighting the positive results Minsk’s efforts have brought about.
“You are one of those people striving to bring the conflict to an end.
We remember your contribution to resolving the conflict.
All efforts undertaken by Belarus from the very first days yielded positive results,” Putin noted.
Lukashenko Emphasizes Close Ties with Russia
Responding to Putin, Lukashenko explained that Belarus’s involvement in the peace process is rooted in its close alliance with Russia.
The Belarusian president stressed that the country’s actions have consistently reflected its commitment to supporting its neighbor and contributing to conflict resolution.
