Instagram recently restricted the hashtag #WithLoveMeghan, associated with Meghan Markle’s upcoming Netflix series, flagging it as “sensitive content.”
Users who searched for the hashtag were met with a warning stating the results could contain sensitive material, followed by a message linking to resources about child sexual abuse.
When users attempted to access accounts related to the hashtag, they saw a message emphasizing the illegality of child sexual abuse.
The platform’s notification also urged users to seek help for abuse-related issues.
It warned that accessing such content could lead to severe legal consequences and perpetuate harm.
Instagram Clarifies the Situation
After Instagram’s notification raised concerns, the platform clarified that the warning was issued in error.
A Meta spokesperson explained that the hashtag was mistakenly flagged and had now been restored.
“We block searches for terms that could pose a child safety risk, but this restriction was a mistake,” they stated.
There is no indication that Meghan Markle is in any way connected to inappropriate content.
Meghan Markle’s Exciting New Series: ‘With Love, Meghan’
Despite the social media glitch, Meghan Markle’s eagerly awaited Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, is set to launch on January 15.
The show, which was first teased by the American Riviera Orchard lifestyle brand last March, promises to offer a behind-the-scenes look at Meghan’s life, including her love for cooking, gardening, and crafting.
Meghan, 43, expressed her excitement about the show, which features her cooking in her Montecito kitchen, sharing tips with famous friends, and inviting viewers into her life.
“I hope you love the show as much as I loved making it,” she shared on Instagram, alongside a first trailer.
A Glimpse Into Meghan’s Life
The series showcases Meghan’s ability to elevate everyday moments, whether it’s through creative cooking, gardening, or crafting.
As described by Netflix, the show offers tips for connecting with friends and creating meaningful experiences.
Meghan speaks about how little details, like adding edible flowers to breakfast, can make a big impact.
In the trailer, Meghan emphasizes the joy of sharing experiences with friends, saying, “We’re not in the pursuit of perfection, we’re in the pursuit of joy.”
The show will feature a star-studded guest list, including her close friend Mindy Kaling, who is seen enjoying a piece of cake in one of the snippets.
Star-Studded Guests
Meghan’s celebrity circle makes several appearances on the show.
Along with Mindy Kaling, Prince Harry, chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters, and actress Abigail Spencer will all join Meghan.
The show also features Meghan’s makeup artist and longtime friend Daniel Martin, who has been by her side for over a decade.
In addition, Meghan’s closest friends, including polo wife Delfina Blaquier and her husband Nacho Figueras, will join the Duchess for some candid moments.
Meghan’s best friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, co-founder of Alliance of Moms, is also among the guest list, providing an emotional connection to Meghan’s support network.
A Personal Connection
The series goes beyond entertainment, showcasing Meghan’s deep connections with her guests.
Kelly, who tragically lost her son George in 2022, has spoken about the profound support she and her family have received from Harry and Meghan.
Kelly’s nonprofit organization, Alliance of Moms, supports pregnant teens in foster care, and she praises Meghan and Harry for being a source of strength during her difficult time.
Meghan’s return to Instagram with a joyful video on the beach near Montecito was a fitting prelude to the upcoming series.
Fans can look forward to seeing more of Meghan’s life and philosophy when With Love, Meghan debuts later this month.
