Yuletide: Nasarawa Speaker felicitates with Christians, calls for national prayers

Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Balarabe Abdullahi is felicitating with the Christian Communities in the state and beyond on this year’s Christmas celebration calling for prayers for the nation to overcome its challenges.

A statement by his press secretary, Jibrin Gwamna quotes that the speaker is calling on the entire Christians to use the period of Christmas to pray for God’s intervention on emerging challenges facing the nation.

He said that the state’s number three citizen emphasised the need for believers to use the period by exhibiting the deposition of peace, love, and support for the vulnerable in the society which is the attribute of Jesus Christ.

He further congratulates the entire Christian community on the celebration of this year’s Christmas calling on all in respective of religion, political and other differences to work for peace, unity, love for one another, and the overall development of the society as well as support for leaders at all levels to succeed.

He emphasised the need for people to celebrate the period peacefully, remain committed to constituted authority peacefully the need for clerics to preach peace and unit,y among their congregations.
