Seeking answers, Carin consulted her doctor, who diagnosed her with a rare autoimmune disease associated with miscarriages.
In 2019, as they prepared for the embryo transfer, Carin faced the challenge of her uterus lining not thickening sufficiently to sustain an embryo.
