In a special vigil on Saturday night, William and Harry will stand at the head and foot of the Queen’s coffin with all eight of the monarch’s grandchildren.

The Duke of Sussex will don a military uniform for the 15-minute ceremony, despite not doing so during King Charles III’s burial procession from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall on Wednesday.

It is said to be the most recent attempt at mending fences between the King and his son, whose relationship has soured since since Harry resigned as a working royal.

Kate and Meghan, their respective husbands, will not be present at the vigil.

The other grandkids will be dressed in a dark formal dress with decorations and a morning coat.

According to insiders, the family members are “extremely eager to pay their respects,” just as their parents were the night before.

The Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie will be on the Prince of Wales’ and the Duke of Sussex’s sides, respectively, with Lady Louise and Viscount Severn in the centre of the casket.
