Victoria Beckham is putting millions of dollars behind her teenage daughter Harper’s ambitions to build a skincare business, with more than $3 million already tied up in the development of the planned brand.
The investment is being made through H7B Ltd, a company established in October 2024 by Victoria Beckham and Oliver Shipton, who is also involved with Victoria Beckham Beauty.
The company’s first accounts show that it owes creditors about $3.387 million, with the money listed as falling due within a year. More than $2.8 million is recorded as amounts owed to group undertakings.
Harper’s Brand Is Being Built Outside Victoria Beckham Beauty
Despite Victoria’s involvement, the new venture is expected to operate separately from Victoria Beckham Beauty.
Sources have indicated that Harper’s project is intended to be an independent business rather than an extension of her mother’s existing beauty company.
The company describes its activity as “brand creation”, with the investment understood to be funding the development of the teenage-focused skincare range ahead of its planned launch.
The business name H7B refers to Harper’s full name, Harper Seven Beckham.
Harlo by Harper Could Launch After Her GCSEs
The skincare brand is expected to launch during the second half of next year, potentially after Harper completes her GCSE examinations in May and June.
Harper will turn 16 in July, meaning the launch would coincide with a major transition in her education and personal life.
The brand, which is currently being developed under the name Harlo by Harper, is expected to target teenagers and younger consumers.
Victoria’s team is reportedly helping with the development process, although the business is intended to remain separate from her established beauty operation.
The Teenager Wants to Create Products From Personal Experience
Harper’s interest in skincare reportedly came from her own experience with teenage acne.
Victoria previously revealed that her daughter became interested in creating a skincare company after struggling with products that were unsuitable for her skin.
According to Victoria, Harper had developed severe skin problems after experimenting with beauty products and eventually needed to see a dermatologist.
The experience reportedly prompted Harper to suggest creating products specifically designed around the needs of young people.
Victoria said her daughter wanted to develop a brand based on what she herself wished had been available when she was experiencing those problems.
From Haiku to Harlo
The project has already gone through a change of identity.
An earlier attempt to trademark the name Haiku by Harper was unsuccessful, leading to the brand eventually being developed under the Harlo name.
Victoria’s lawyers have also sought trademark protection for Harlo in the United States, suggesting that the business is being prepared for a potentially international market.
The ambition is reportedly substantial, with comparisons already being drawn between Harper’s proposed company and Hailey Bieber’s Rhode Beauty.
What Could Be in Harper’s First Collection?
The exact product line has not been finalised, but the range is expected to focus on relatively simple skincare products aimed at teenagers.
Items under consideration reportedly include a cleanser, toner and lightweight moisturiser, with lip balms also potentially forming part of the launch.
The approach appears to be centred on everyday skincare rather than an extensive luxury beauty collection.
That positioning could allow the brand to appeal directly to younger consumers who are increasingly engaging with skincare and beauty products through social media.
Harper Has Already Had a Glimpse of the Business World
Although still a teenager, Harper has already accompanied her mother on several business-related trips.
Earlier this year, she spent time away from school while travelling with Victoria to New York, where she attended events connected to her mother’s fashion and beauty activities.
Those included activities surrounding Victoria Beckham’s collaboration with Gap as well as the launch of one of her fragrances.
Harper had also publicly hinted at her entrepreneurial ambitions much earlier.
In October 2024, while Victoria was promoting a fragrance in New York, Harper was asked to write down her hopes for the future. She wrote that she wanted to create an “amazing brand” when she was older.
That moment came in the same month H7B Ltd was officially established.
The Beckham Business Has Become More Profitable
The investment in Harper’s company comes as Victoria Beckham’s wider business empire has shown significant improvement.
Victoria Beckham Holdings, which encompasses her fashion and beauty interests, recorded an operating profit of £7.3 million for the year to December 2025.
That represented a major turnaround from the £1.5 million operating loss recorded the previous year.
After tax, the group reported a profit of £2.4 million.
The figures suggest that Victoria’s businesses have strengthened considerably, although the financial picture remains more complicated when the individual operations are examined separately.
Fashion Business Still Carries Significant Costs
Victoria’s fashion business generated an operating profit of £1.5 million, but after tax it recorded a £1.7 million loss.
The accounts also show that the fashion operation received a new £1.5 million loan.
Although fashion sales have reportedly increased, the cost of producing and selling the products remains substantial.
The fashion company recorded costs of sales of £17.5 million, higher than the previous year, while the wider fashion operation owed approximately £59 million to creditors.
The beauty side of the business has therefore become an important contributor to the group’s overall financial performance.
Harper’s Venture Represents a Major Family Investment
With more than $3 million already tied up in the development of Harper’s business, the project represents a significant financial commitment before the first product has even reached consumers.
The accounts indicate that much of the money is connected to amounts owed within the wider group, rather than simply representing a conventional external investment.
Nevertheless, the scale of the spending demonstrates that the Beckham family is treating Harper’s business ambitions as a serious commercial project.
The teenager will ultimately have to establish the brand with consumers rather than simply relying on the Beckham name.
A New Generation of the Beckham Brand
Harper’s skincare ambitions mark another step in the expansion of the Beckham family’s commercial interests.
Her parents have built businesses across fashion, beauty and other industries, while their children have increasingly attracted public attention of their own.
The development of Harlo also comes amid reports of tensions within the wider family. Brooklyn Beckham publicly accused his parents earlier this year of prioritising the Beckham brand over family life and alleged that they had attempted to interfere in his marriage to Nicola Peltz.
Against that backdrop, Harper’s venture represents a different chapter: a business project being developed around her own interests and experiences.
If Harlo launches as planned next year, Harper will enter the market with considerable financial backing, access to experienced professionals and one of the world’s most recognisable family names behind her.
