Unprovoked NYC subway stabbing kills stranger

A man from New York City was fatally stabbed by an unknown person as he got off a train in the Bronx on Thursday night. The terrible incident was caught on security tape.

The victim, who is wearing a red jacket and white jeans, can be seen trying to wrestle with his assailant in the footage, but the suspect is able to repeatedly stab the man.

Under a metro exit sign, the attacker repeatedly stabs the victim before striking him in the face once more and running from the station.

The man died as a result of his injuries after being taken in critical condition to St. Barnabas Hospital, according to authorities.

The attacker, who launched the unprovoked assault as the victim stepped off a northbound 4 train, is still at large according to New York police.

In order to notify the victim’s family, they have not yet disclosed the victim’s identity.

The assailant, who was described by police as having a dark complexion, standing at 5’11” and weighing 160 lbs, was last seen sporting a dark hooded sweatshirt and Nike shoes.

While the number of homicides in New York City is down 13.5% from the previous year, crime overall has increased by 32.68%.

Rape cases in the city have increased from 1.137 last year to 1,249 so far this year, a rise of over 10%.

Assaults are up 15.9 percent, burglaries are up 31.5 percent, and robberies are up 36.5 percent as well.

Even if there have been fewer killings this year, the city nevertheless receives daily reports of assaults, with the subway system being the scene of a disproportionately high number of them.

According to authorities, a group of women in neon green skin suits attacked and robbed two adolescent girls on a Manhattan subway on Sunday.

Around 2:00 a.m., the two 19-year-olds were waiting for the N train in Times Square when at least six women dressed in bright green costumes raced down the stairs.

According to the mother of one of the girls, the kids retreated and made the decision to board a different train car than the group that was “loud and rude.”

However, the green-clad crowd swarmed into the train from all sides and eventually “jumped” the two teenagers.

In the previous year, transit-related crimes have grown by 43%, while felony assault charges have grown by 16%, according to police statistics.

In the same time last year, 1,165 offenses were registered in the city’s transport system. This year, 1,670 offences were reported.

Gomes recalled the event and responded to questions about transit safety. 'The subway is a dangerous place,' she said

While authorities have made an effort to minimize the widespread violence on the city’s subway system, the situation is becoming upsetting to the locals.

A man brutally battered 33-year-old mother Elizabeth Gomes on the metro, and she almost lost an eye.

Gomes spoke out when Tiffany Cabán, a councilwoman for Queens district, tweeted that subway violence is a “one-in-a-million incident.”

Gomes told FOX News, “I would think it’s crazy for her to say that.”

“These violent (attacks) are (almost) all) coming from the subways.” Nothing to assist you there. There are scarcely any cameras or other devices there. So how is it even possible for her to claim that we are making this all up? The subway is a hazardous environment.
