United Church of Christ, Anambra Circuit, Fountain of Peace, Amawbia Women Celebrates Mother’s Sunday

Women at the United Church of Christ, Anambra Circuit, Fountain of Peace, Amawbia, have celebrated Mother’s Sunday .

The women who took time to display the roles of mothers and dance to the glory of God in giving them life amidst all challenges facing women appeared in their uniforms and took part in activities of the service.

The Pastor of the church, Pastor Joshua Udogu said women need to be celebrated because of their impact and unity that champions the body of Christ.

Pastor Udogu challenged women to live up to the responsibilities of raising  children which are their primary duty , lamenting that many have left it for the house keepers in the quest for money, challenging the husbands to keep loving their wives and play the roles of pastors in their families.

In a message to mark the day, the wife of the pastor, Mrs Margret Udogo whose message dwelt on “spirit filled woman” asked women to be conscious of God who will help them carry on the cross of motherhood, be respectful, prayerful and obey their husbands even as she said they should maintain good characters and attitude for the children to hold unto and stand out in the society.

In their separate speeches, a member of the church, Mrs Blessing Emegakor of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS Awka and Mrs Gladys Onuora thanked God for the gift of motherhood stating that though the task is enermours, with the grace of God, they will live up to the challenge and call to duty.

Meanwhile, Mr Emeka Anthony Emegakor who is the husband of Mrs Blessing Emegakor used the service to thank God for adding another year to his life as he marked his birthday .

Correspondent, Amaka Chibuzor Okoye reports that the women have different performances and prayers while thanksgiving added glamour to the service.
