ACCIDENT: 2 women confirmed dead, 14 injured in Ermelo taxi accident

A taxi accident on the N17 outside Ermelo on Monday afternoon killed two women and injured fourteen others.

The accident occurred about 15:30, according to ER24 Emergency Services.

“Two women were killed and fourteen others injured when a taxi rolled on the N17, approximately 20km outside Ermelo, Mpumalanga. ER24 and other services arrived at 15h30 to find the taxi on its side on the side of the road. Several passengers were seen lying all around the vehicle.”

The patients were soon checked by paramedics, who discovered that two women had died as a result of the accident.

Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done to save them, and they were pronounced dead. On the scene, fourteen other people were treated, including numerous youngsters.

“Paramedics discovered two women and a ten-year-old kid were in critical condition, while twelve others had slight to serious injuries,” according to the report.

THE CAUSE OF THE ACCIDENT WILL BE INVESTIGATED

Before being evacuated to several hospitals for urgent care, the injured patients were treated and given advanced life support.

“While the specifics of this incident are unknown, local authorities were on the site to conduct additional inquiries.”

A cab swerves many times without any passengers on board before colliding with another vehicle in the footage.

Due to the impact, a man is seen catapulted meters into the air.

As the two automobiles collide, the individual recording the video can be heard reacting with astonishment and horror. “But I showed him what he’s doing!” a man is heard saying.
