In a horrifying turn of events during a village council meeting in Ukraine, Serhiy Batrin, a 54-year-old council representative, detonated three grenades.
Disturbing footage captured the moment Batrin, visibly agitated, entered the meeting late, holding two grenades in hand. He threw them onto the floor amidst a heated discussion, causing three explosions.

The explosions resulted in 26 injuries, six of which were severe. Victims were heard calling for medical help, expressing the extent of their injuries, including difficulty walking and severe wounds. Batrin, the perpetrator, was among the severely wounded and required resuscitation by medics following the blasts.

Batrin, affiliated with the Servant of the People party founded by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, held a position in the village council’s law and order commission.
Reports suggest a dispute over money triggered the attack, stemming from Batrin’s opposition to the ruling faction on the council. His frustration regarding water problems in the village, particularly a large sum paid to the utility company director, was noted as a key factor.
