A backyard pool party in Tennessee turned into a frightening emergency after a woman was accused of attempting to hold a child underwater, prompting a dramatic rescue by another youngster.
Authorities say the incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Wednesday at a residence along Cochran Road in Jonesborough, where several children were swimming under adult supervision.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Mikaylee Rae Beirne of Johnson City was later arrested in connection with the incident.
