SuperCharger Ventures has announced the launch of its first €10 million investment fund, strengthening its commitment to supporting startups developing solutions in education technology and the future of work.
The Malta-based accelerator is directing the fund toward early-stage companies worldwide, with a particular emphasis on pre-seed and seed-stage ventures.
The initiative marks a significant expansion of the firm’s investment strategy, enabling it to provide financial backing alongside the accelerator services it already offers to emerging founders.
Strong Investor Support Ahead of Initial Close
The newly launched fund has attracted substantial interest from investors, with family offices and high-net-worth individuals providing the majority of its backing.
According to the company, around 90% of the commitments required for the first close have already been secured.
Despite this strong early response, the fund remains open to additional capital commitments, including participation from institutional investors seeking exposure to high-growth education and workforce technology companies.
Investment Strategy Focuses on Accelerator Graduates
SuperCharger Ventures plans to invest primarily in startups that complete its accelerator program.
The fund will typically select the top three to five companies from each accelerator cohort for investment after founders have finished the program.
Selected startups can receive initial investments of up to €250,000, while businesses demonstrating continued growth may qualify for follow-on funding ranging between €500,000 and €1.5 million.
Accelerator Model Continues to Drive Startup Growth
The investment vehicle will operate alongside SuperCharger Ventures’ established accelerator platform, allowing portfolio companies to benefit from more than just financial support.
Participating founders will continue to receive mentorship, introductions to investor networks, market expansion assistance, and access to government-backed, non-dilutive funding opportunities, including programs offered through Malta Enterprise.
By combining capital with strategic guidance and public-sector support, the accelerator aims to help startups accelerate product development and international growth.
International Presence Strengthens Global Reach
Led by co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Janos Barberis, SuperCharger Ventures has established operations in Malta, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia, positioning itself as an international platform for EdTech and future-of-work innovation.
Since launching its Malta accelerator in 2023, the organization says it has supported more than 200 startups representing over 30 countries.
Through its partnership with Malta Enterprise, participating companies have also gained access to government-backed, non-dilutive funding packages ranging from €300,000 to €1.5 million.
Fund Administration Assigned to Bank of Valletta
SuperCharger Ventures confirmed that Bank of Valletta Fund Services will serve as the administrator for Fund I, overseeing the operational and administrative functions of the newly established investment vehicle as it begins deploying capital into promising startups across global markets.
