Super Eagles head coach, Mr Gernot Rohr, has kicked against the proposition by former Arsenal coach Mr Arsene Wenger that the World Cup tournament should hold every two years.

Mr Wenger, head of global development for world football governing body FIFA, had suggested overhauling the international match calendar from 2024 to have fewer international breaks and more meaningful matches.

The proposition has been opposed by several national team coaches like Didier Deschamps, Roberto Martinez, Dragan Stojković among others.

Mr Rohr has also joined the list of national team coaches who disagreed with the Frenchman.
