Locking springboks when the All Blacks and other teams in the Rugby Championship meet, Marvin Orie thinks they will be competitive in every setpiece.

The All Blacks and Springboks match will take place at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday, August 6.

The All Blacks are facing criticism following their first-ever home series loss to Ireland, but Orie anticipates a fierce retaliation from their longtime foe.

Orie claims that the team’s current focus is merely on its preparedness.

“Being a part of the national squad is a huge privilege and an honour for me. There aren’t many men who have experienced it.

Therefore, I’m simply taking each day as it comes and doing my best to contribute to the team’s success, according to Orie.

The All Blacks are renowned for their effective set pieces.

The fact that they have several players of the highest calibre, notably in the second row, will present us with a good task.

It will be fascinating because, fortunately, we have world-class players in the second row,” he continued.

“We’ve had a productive week of planning.

We have invested a lot of work into planning and analysing for next week, so hopefully we will be prepared to put on a strong performance.

Orie claims that the presence of elite hookers on the Springboks’ roster has contributed to their success during lineout time.

Orie stated, “I have played with Macolm (Marx) at the Lions, Bongi (Mbonambi) in the Varsity Cup back in 2013 and at the Bulls for a brief period of time, and I will be playing with Joseph (Dweba) next season.

Joseph isn’t too far behind Bongi and Malcolm in terms of talent.

We are fortunate to have three elite hookers in the group because having hookers like them gives us a distinct advantage in lineouts, scrums, and general play.
