Spanish Prosecutors File Lawsuit Against Luis Rubiales for Sexual Assault and Coercion

Jenni Hermoso formally accused Luis Rubiales of sexual assault, prompting the legal action. According to the allegations, Rubiales kissed Hermoso without her consent during the awards ceremony.

Spanish prosecutors have based their case on a sexual consent law passed the previous year. If found guilty of sexual assault, Rubiales could face significant legal consequences, including a fine or a prison sentence ranging from one to four years.
