Six persons have been brought to hospital in Gauteng after being exposed to toxic gas.

Netcare 911 reacted to a suspected gas leak at a company premises in Randjespark, Midrand, at 16H20 on Thursday afternoon.

Six persons are said to have had difficulties breathing after being exposed to a poisonous gas, according to reports.

All six patients were treated on the spot and then brought to the hospital for additional evaluation.

The circumstances that led up to the tragedy will be looked into by the appropriate authorities.
