Hit-and-Run Horror: BMW Strikes Mother and Baby in West London

In a shocking hit-and-run incident, a BMW driver collides with a mother pushing a pram carrying her baby girl, prompting a police reward for information on the driver.

The Tragic Incident

Rajdeep Kaur, 37, was walking with her 13-month-old daughter in a pram on February 3 at approximately 12:30 pm at the junction of North Hyde Lane and Raleigh Road in Southall, west London.

As she attempted to cross the road, a silver BMW recklessly overtook oncoming traffic, striking her and narrowly avoiding the pram.

The impact sent the mother flying, resulting in life-threatening injuries.

Desperate Search for the BMW Driver

The BMW driver callously fled the scene, leaving Rajdeep Kaur in a perilous condition. Police are actively searching for this driver, who failed to stop after the accident.

Reward Offered for Information

To aid in the apprehension of the fleeing BMW driver, a £5,000 reward has been announced for any information that leads to their conviction.

Severe Consequences

Emergency services quickly responded to the scene and transported Mrs. Kaur to the hospital, where she was diagnosed with leg and pelvis injuries.

After months of medical care, she now faces severe mobility limitations and is unable to independently care for her young daughter.

Cloned Number Plates

While witnesses managed to record the BMW X5’s license plates, these were later discovered to be cloned, complicating the investigation.

Detective’s Plea for Information

Detective Constable Davina Nash, leading the investigation, expressed the distressing nature of the case and highlighted the significant impact on Mrs. Kaur’s life.

She urged anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing the importance of bringing justice to the victim.

Crimestoppers, an independent organization, is offering the reward and assures complete anonymity for those providing information, available 24/7 via phone or their website.
