The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, recently revealed the principal officers of both the majority and minority parties in the upper legislative chamber.
These announcements were made during the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, highlighting the key figures who will lead and represent their respective parties in the Senate.
Majority Party’s Principal Officers
The majority party in the upper legislative chamber, the All Progressives Congress (APC), saw its principal officers unveiled by Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday.
Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who represents Ekiti central, was named as the Majority Leader, and Senator David Umahi, representing Ebonyi south, was appointed as the Deputy Majority Leader.
Additionally, Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno south, was designated as the Chief Whip, while Senator Lola Ashiru, representing Kwara south, was named as the Deputy Chief Whip.
