Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand met with her Romanian counterpart, Oana-Silvia Țoiu, on Monday as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening ties between the two NATO allies.

New Security Agreement Set to Boost Cooperation
Among the most significant outcomes of the discussions was the successful conclusion of negotiations on a new General Security of Information Agreement.
Once implemented, the agreement is expected to improve collaboration between Canadian and Romanian defence, security and nuclear industries by enabling the secure exchange of sensitive information and supporting future joint initiatives.
