Rob Schneider and Patricia Azarcoya Officially Split Following More Than a Decade Together and Court Approves Private Divorce Decree in California

After over a decade together, Rob Schneider, 62, and his wife Patricia Azarcoya, 37, have officially gone their separate ways.

The comedian and actress’s 15-year union came to an end following Patricia’s filing for divorce late last year.

Court documents, obtained by the Daily Mail, show the paperwork was submitted on December 8, formally starting the dissolution of their marriage.

Family and Parenting Arrangements

The former couple share two daughters, Miranda Scarlett, 13, and Madeline Robbie, 10.

In addition, Schneider is the father of singer-songwriter Elle King from a previous relationship.

Soon after the divorce filing, the court required both parents to complete a mandatory parenting course.

On January 21, a court order sealed the couple’s consent decree, keeping the details private.

The decree finalizes all aspects of the divorce—custody, asset division, and spousal support—without a trial, transforming their private agreement into a legally binding judgment.

How They Met and Married

Rob and Patricia first crossed paths in 2007 on a television project Patricia was working on.

Sparks flew quickly, and four years later, they married in a private Beverly Hills ceremony in April 2011.

At the time, Schneider described it as “the happiest day of my life,” surrounded by close friends and family.

The couple welcomed their first daughter, Miranda, in November 2012, followed by Madeline in September 2016.

Sharing his joy at Madeline’s birth, Rob quipped, “The world just got 7.6 lbs more beautiful.”

On their 10th anniversary, Patricia took to Instagram with a heartfelt tribute, writing, “10 years and counting!!!! No one is funnier than you husbando. Thanks for my beautiful babies. I love you para siempre.”

Working Together as a Family

Schneider and Patricia also collaborated professionally.

They starred alongside their daughters in the Netflix series Real Rob, a loosely autobiographical sitcom.

In 2022, Patricia produced, wrote, and appeared in the family film Daddy Daughter Trip, which featured their children and even a cameo from Adam Sandler’s wife, Jackie Sandler.

Rob shared, “My kids will have this forever. They’ll be able to show their kids this movie that we made as a family. And that’s beautiful.”

Rob Schneider’s Relationship with Elle King

Rob’s relationship with his eldest daughter, Elle King, from his first marriage to London King, has been more complicated.

Elle has spoken openly about childhood struggles, telling People in 2018, “My whole childhood, my dad was a workaholic.”

The two reconnected after the birth of Rob’s daughters with Patricia.

Elle reflected, “We both have grown up a lot. And you realize what’s important. Him having children—I wanted my sisters to have good memories of me from their childhood. Family really is so important.”

She emphasized that her intention was always to support her younger sisters, saying, “When it’s about the kids, the bulls*** kind of goes away. I love him.”

Their bond faced another challenge in 2024 after Elle discussed her past on the Dumb Blonde podcast, including time spent at “fat camp” and years of limited contact with her dad.

Schneider publicly apologized, though Elle admitted it didn’t fully resonate, stressing that she spoke honestly without the intent to hurt him.

Daughters Following in His Footsteps

Despite the ups and downs, all three of Schneider’s daughters have found their place in entertainment.

From appearing alongside him on screen to pursuing their own creative paths, the family legacy in show business continues.

The divorce marks a major shift in Schneider’s personal life, but both he and Patricia remain committed to co-parenting and supporting their children’s futures.
