Festival-goers used an amount of data equivalent to downloading the film Rocket Man in HD 400 times per hour for the entire five-day duration of the festival.

Vodafone placed nine masts strategically around the Worthy Farm site to ensure they could handle the high demand for connectivity.

Data Consumption Highlights: During Sir Elton John’s Sunday headline performance on the main Pyramid Stage, a total of 450 gigabytes of data were uploaded.

At the biggest stage, over 20 terabytes of data were consumed throughout the event as attendees eagerly shared videos and pictures on social media.

They exceeded expectations by ensuring reliable and award-winning network coverage on-site.

Taylor also expressed excitement about the prospects of bringing even greater connectivity and experiences to Glastonbury in the following years.

The growing reliance on mobile data and connectivity at large-scale events like Glastonbury is evident in these astounding figures.

The amount of data consumed during the festival highlights the importance of robust and well-planned network infrastructure.

Vodafone’s efforts to meet the surging demand by strategically placing masts around the festival site paid off, ensuring festival-goers had the connectivity they desired.

The popularity of the Glastonbury app and the high usage of its features demonstrate the role of technology in enhancing the festival experience.
