Matthew Byars, a well-known talent manager and friend to Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger, has tragically passed away at the age of 37.
His death, which occurred on November 21, was ruled a suicide by the Maryland Chief Office of Medical Examiner.
Byars, who had appeared on the show’s third season, was reportedly found with multiple blunt force injuries, and an autopsy has confirmed the manner of death.
Heartfelt Tributes from Close Friends
Melissa Gorga, who was close to Byars, shared a deeply emotional tribute to her late friend.
She expressed her heartbreak, saying, “Matt- Why didn’t you tell me Matt? I’m heartbroken.”
Gorga continued to reflect on his vibrant personality, fondly remembering his infectious sense of humor.
She added, “You should have done stand-up – I know it was your dream. My heart hurts Matt because earlier this week, you didn’t tell me.”
Gorga also acknowledged the challenges Byars faced in his life, but she praised him for the memories they shared and the loyalty they had for one another.
“Thank you for bringing me my very first performance of ‘ON DISPLAY.’ You and I – WE ARE LOYAL. They don’t make them like us. I wish I could have saved you,” she wrote. “Go fly – Go make them laugh.”
Cherishing the Memories
Charrisse Jackson-Jordan, another Real Housewives of Potomac star, also paid her respects to Byars.
She posted a photo of the two of them together on a rooftop, captioning it simply, “Rest in Peace.”
The outpouring of love and grief from his friends speaks to the impact he had on those around him.
