Real Housewives of Orange County Star Shannon Beador Arrested for DUI and Hit-and-Run in Newport Beach

Real Housewives of Orange County celebrity, Shannon Beador, found herself in a troubling situation when she was arrested for DUI (Driving Under the Influence) and involvement in a hit-and-run incident in Newport Beach, Los Angeles, on a Saturday night.

According to TMZ reports, the 59-year-old reality TV personality accidentally drove her car onto a residential property, colliding with a house, as revealed by law enforcement sources.

Attempted Escape and Police Arrival

After the collision, Beador allegedly attempted to flee the scene, maneuvering her vehicle back onto the road.

She then oddly parked her car in the middle of the street before exiting the vehicle with her dog.

When law enforcement arrived following a 911 call, Beador seemed to be casually strolling, giving the impression she was merely out for a walk.

However, officers noted her appearing to be in an impaired state, leading to her being taken into custody.

Additionally, the police impounded her car as part of their ongoing investigation into the property damage.

Legal Consequences and Apology

A representative from the Newport Beach Police Department confirmed that Beador was booked for hit-and-run and DUI alcohol.

Remarkably, she was subsequently cited and released without the requirement of posting bond.

Shannon Beador’s lawyer, Michael Fell, issued a statement to DailyMail.com, stating, “Shannon is extremely apologetic and remorseful.

“We will be awaiting the official information on this case as it becomes available, and Shannon is prepared to accept full responsibility for her actions.”

Reality TV Drama Amid Real-Life Crisis

This incident came shortly after an episode of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” in which Beador faced intense scrutiny from fellow cast member Gina Kirschenheiter for repeatedly bringing up Gina’s four-year-old DUI arrest.

In the episode titled “Pumpkins & Paparazzi,” Shannon not only discussed Gina’s DUI but also insinuated that Child Protective Services (CPS) had been involved on the day of her arrest, a claim Gina vehemently denied.

The episode escalated into a heated confrontation, with Gina insisting that Shannon needed to take accountability for her hurtful words.

Personal Struggles and Public Breakup

Beyond her on-screen drama, Shannon Beador has faced personal challenges recently, including her breakup with John Janssen, her boyfriend of nearly four years, in November 2022.

The split occurred shortly after the filming of season 17 of “RHOC” but was only made public in January.

Shannon had previously tried to maintain privacy regarding her relationship with John during the show’s current season, occasionally breaking the fourth wall to do so.

Shannon’s relationship with John had begun in July 2019, following her divorce from David Beador.

She is also a mother to three daughters, Sophie, 21, and twins Stella and Adeline, 19, from her previous marriage.
