Temba Bavuma won the toss and elected to bat in the critical T20 World Cup match between South Africa and Bangladesh on a cloudy Wednesday morning in Sydney.
On Monday, left-arm wrist spinner Tabraiz Shamsi replaced Lungi Ngidi in the starting lineup for South Africa’s match against Zimbabwe in Hobart. After rain stopped the match, South Africa had to split the points with their southern African neighbors, instantly placing them on the back foot in Group 2.
