Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has voiced his sadness regarding the widespread bloodshed and killings in Northern Nigeria, particularly in Plateau, Sokoto, Zamfara, and Benue States.
In a statement shared on his verified Twitter page, Obi expressed deep concern and described the escalating criminal activities in these states as depressing and extremely worrisome.
Viewing Victims as Lives Wasted
Obi emphasized that the fatalities should not be regarded as mere numbers, but as the loss of sacred human lives belonging to individuals who were part of families, relatives, and friends.
He recognized the efforts of governments and security agencies while appealing to them to take immediate action to prevent the situation from worsening.
Plea for Effective Measures and Preventing Anarchy
Obi called on governments and security agencies not to allow the nation to drift further towards anarchy.
He sincerely sympathized with the affected families and prayed for eternal rest for the deceased.
