President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived at his residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State, in preparation for the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
This comes after his return from an official trip to Paris and a private visit to London.
Warm Reception at the Airport
Upon his arrival at Mohammed Murtala International Airport in Lagos, President Tinubu was warmly received by loyalists at the presidential wing.
The reception was filled with pomp and pride as supporters gathered to welcome him.
President Tinubu’s Recent Trips
President Tinubu’s journey began with a trip to France, where he participated in the 2-day Paris Summit for a new Global Financial Pact Summit.
This was followed by a private visit to London.
The trip to France marked the president’s first official visit since his inauguration.
Arrival at Lagos Residence
At his arrival in Lagos, President Tinubu was welcomed by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, and others.
The occasion showcased the president’s return and presence in the city.
President Tinubu’s Sallah Message
In his first Sallah message as president, Tinubu celebrated with Muslims in Nigeria and around the world for the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir.
He expressed gratitude to Allah for granting him the opportunity to witness another Eid.
The president emphasized the importance of remembering those who may be less fortunate during the celebrations.
Acknowledging Challenges and Promoting Economic Reform
President Tinubu acknowledged the challenges the country is facing, particularly in the struggling economy and simmering security situation.
He reassured the nation that his government has already initiated economic reforms and taken decisive actions to address impediments to national growth.
