This Wednesday, seven new ministers who had been vetted and approved by the Senate were sworn in by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The swearing-in ceremony was conducted in two groups of four and three people each, just prior to the Federal Executive Council meeting (FEC).

In the meantime, a moment of silence was observed in memory of OPEC Dr. Mohammed Barkindo, the organization’s fourth secretary general, who passed away unexpectedly late last night at the age of 63.

For six years, Dr. Barkindo was the scribe for OPEC.
