A man with a firearm was fatally shot by police outside a restaurant in South Brisbane.
It is believed that the man, in his twenties, was shot multiple times at 3 p.m. after threatening cops.
The man pulled out a knife before being fatally shot by police, according to the Courier Mail.
According to a police statement, the man died at the site.
The statement added, “According to preliminary information, police were called to Edmonstone Street in South Brisbane approximately 3 p.m. due to the behavior of a man.”
“After a brief contact with officers, it is believed he threatened them and was subsequently shot,”
The man passed away at the spot.

Multiple gunshots and cries were reported by witnesses outside the eatery The Greek Club.
According to one source, cops shot the man in the abdomen.
She stated, “Our manager was outside when he heard the gunshots and yelled for everyone to get down.”
