Police are looking into a shooting in South Seattle

An early Monday morning gunfire in South Seattle injured a 49-year-old woman.

The victim and a man were stopped at a stop light on Rainier Avenue South and South Othello Street at 1:45 p.m. when another car drove alongside them.

Two occupants of the second vehicle fired at the woman, 49 years old, before fleeing the scene.

Officers met the 49-year-old woman and her male friend in the 7200 block of Rainier Avenue South, where they were driven by the man. The woman was brought to Harborview Medical Center for treatment by medical personnel.
