This includes promotions from Sergeants to Inspectors, Corporals to Sergeants, and Constables to Corporals.
The development aims to enhance manpower development, reward competence, qualification, and length of service within the police force.
Mass Promotion for Manpower Development:
In a statement released by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, it was revealed that the Inspector-General of Police implemented this mass promotion as part of his policy to strengthen the force’s manpower.
The promotion is intended to recognize the dedication and service of the officers, aligning with their qualifications and competence.
National Honors for Assistant Inspectors-General of Police:
The Police Chief also took the opportunity to commend two Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) for receiving prestigious national honors.
AIG Aishatu Abubakar was honored with the Officer of the Order of the Niger, while AIG Olofu Adejoh was awarded the National Productivity Order of Merit by the National Productivity Centre, under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Quoting the Inspector-General, Adejobi stated that Alkali-Baba had urged the promoted officers to uphold the principles and values of modern policing with increased dedication.
