The office of the Member representing Aguata Federal Constituency at the House of Representative, in collaboration with African Union Development Agency, AUDA-NEPAD Nigeria Presidency has trained and empowered over two hundred women and youths in relevant key areas of cosmetology, pastries and ICT in Amesi and Ezinifite communities in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The training which lasted for four days, brought together indigenes from the fourteen communities of Aguta one and two constituencies was convened by Honourable Chukwuma Umeoji, the member representing Aguata Federal Constituency with the aim of grooming future entrepreneurs to make them self-reliant.
Expressing gratitude for the opportunity, some of the beneficiaries including Mrs Georgina Mbanefo, Miss Oluebube Nwosu and Mr John-Paul Obi said that the knowledge they garnered will help them to be independent and alleviate poverty in their communities.
Also, one of the facilitators of the training Mrs Beatrice Nwoye, applauded the fast pace at which the trainees learnt, encouraging them to put the knowledge garnered into practice.
