Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has stepped forward to offer financial support to 57 households affected by the recent floods at TradeMore Estate in Lugbe, Abuja. The area experienced significant damage due to heavy rainfall that occurred on Friday, June 23rd.
Financial Aid through the Renewed Hope Initiative:
Through her philanthropic project, the Renewed Hope Initiative, Oluremi Tinubu distributed N250,000 to the affected households.
The initiative aims to provide assistance to those in need and support various communities across Nigeria.
Representing the First Lady, Hajia Nana Shettima, the wife of the Vice President, conveyed the donation and expressed sympathy for the victims of the unfortunate incident.
Hope for Alleviating Pain:
Recognizing the possibility of future incidents, especially with the ongoing rainy season, Tinubu acknowledged that the outreach and intervention of the Renewed Hope Initiative may help alleviate the pain and suffering experienced by the affected households.
While the Initiative is still in the process of registration by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Tinubu emphasized the urgency of supporting the TradeMore Estate residents, given her responsibility and concern for the area.

Dr. Adewale Adenaike, the chairman of the Residents Association, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the beneficiaries.
