A video circulating on social media captured the emotional moment when Baci received confirmation of her record and was overwhelmed with tears and prayers.

GWR officially announced Baci as the new record holder, recognizing her impressive cooking time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

Through their official website, GWR stated that after a thorough review of all the evidence, they could confirm that Hilda Effiong Bassey, known as Hilda Baci, had broken the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual).

A Remarkable Feat:

During her four-day kitchen stint, the 26-year-old Nigerian chef cooked over 100 pots of food.

Baci initially aimed to set a record of 100 hours but, due to a mistake during one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt, nearly seven hours were deducted from her final total.

Celebrating the Achievement:

In the viral video capturing the moment of confirmation, Hilda Baci can be seen rejoicing and expressing her joy at being acknowledged for her remarkable feat.

The recognition of her dedication and skill as a chef in breaking the previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes, set by Lata Tondon of India in 2019, brought tears of joy and prayers from Baci.
