Neighbour Sentenced to 12 Years for Attempted Rape and Assault in Shocking Residential Attack

A man, Karan Pullock, aged 37, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after sneaking into his neighbour’s home through an adjoining attic and attempting to rape her.

The incident took place on June 30 of the previous year in the same residential complex where both the victim and Pullock resided.

Terrifying Attack:

Pullock entered the woman’s home through the attic, and when she returned later, she noticed that the blinds were down and her dog seemed unusually quiet.

Suddenly, Pullock emerged from a darkened room, armed with a knife, and forcibly grabbed the woman.

Despite her attempts to fight him off, he overpowered her and held the knife to her throat, threatening to kill her as she screamed in terror.

Attempted Robbery and Sexual Assault:

After overpowering the victim, Pullock took her into her own bedroom, where he tied her to a chair and demanded money.

He proceeded to cut her clothes off, sexually assaulted her, and attempted to rape her.

Subsequently, Pullock called the Metropolitan Police and confessed to the heinous act.

The police swiftly responded, arresting him at the scene.

Legal Consequences:

Pullock, a resident of Hackney, East London, has now been sentenced to 12 years in prison and will be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.

On January 18, 2023, he pleaded guilty to charges of attempted robbery, attempted rape, sexual assault, and threats to kill.
