Mrs Felicia Okudo Buried At Ogidi, Idemili North Council Area

The remain of Late Mrs. Felicia Nneka Okudo, popularly known as ‘Shiner Madam’, have been laid to rest at Umuru village, Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of the State, as family members and mourners described her as an embodiment of peace.

 

The burial service for the late Mrs Okudo, which was held at her husband’s compound and officiated by Reverend Canon Emmanuel Ibezim, in company of other Priests, was attended by family members, friends and well-wishers, who gathered to pay their last respect.

Reverend Canon Ibezim, in his sermon, reminded Christians of the need to be steadfast in their worship and belief in God and never be shaken by whatever trials, difficulties or challenges which make them seek power and solutions outside God through Jesus Christ.

 

The immediate junior sister to the deceased, Mrs Cordelia Umeadi described the late Mrs Okudo as a wonderful woman with whom she grew up, adding that she was a God-fearing woman, a great mother and wife.

Her eldest son, Chief Lawrence Okudo explained that their mother was a woman full of wisdom, which made her lead her village women group for years, adding that she will be greatly missed.

 

Other children to the deceased who spoke to the ABS, including Mrs Ifeoma Ifezuoke and Mr. Emmanuel Okudo said they learnt and imbibed being peaceful, non-discriminatory, leadership skills, among others from their mother being the virtues, she exemplified.

 

Mourners who came to condole and pay their last respect, including Messrs Ifeanyi Obi, Samuel Okeke and Tobenna Udokwu all spoke glowingly of the departed and the impact she made on her immediate family and society at large.

Different women dance groups and condolence visits featured prominently at the burial ceremony of the Late Mrs Nneka Okudo, who died at the age of eighty.
