King of Morocco Mohammed VI today ordered an official three-day mourning in the Kingdom over the passing of late His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed.

“The national flag is being lowered to half-mast on government buildings, administrations and public places, as well as Moroccan embassies and consulates abroad,” the Moroccan Royal Cabinet said in a statement.

“The Kingdom of Morocco, while sharing the pain of the illustrious Princely Family and the brotherly Emirati people following this cruel loss, implores the Most High to grant them patience and comfort, to surround the revered deceased of His holy mercy and to welcome him into His vast paradise.”
