Mandla Ndlovu elected ANC Mpumalanga chair

Mandla Ndlovu, convener of the African National Congress (ANC) in Mpumalanga, has been voted as the next provincial chairman of the ANC in Mpumalanga.

Mandla Ndlovu was chosen as the new province chairman of the African National Congress (ANC) in Mpumalanga, defeating former provincial secretary Mandla Ndlovu.

Ndlovu defeated former provincial secretary Lucky Ndinisa by 440 votes. Ndinisa received 278 votes.

Voting began in the early hours of Saturday morning in Emalahleni at the party’s provincial electoral congress.

The Mpumalanga conference is late by two years.

Ndinisa won the seat with 440 votes. Ndinisa received 278 votes.

The provincial ANC has been marred by public spats and factional battles that turned violent. The conference has been postponed several times before because of the internal divisions and allegations of vote rigging at branches.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
