Dream of Dual Citizenship Realized
A Nigerian man’s dream of securing Canadian citizenship, which he had vowed to achieve for his children, has become a reality two years after he made the commitment.
A Pledge on Social Media
In March 2021, the man, known as @_ThatCJ, made a public declaration on social media, expressing his determination to ensure that his unborn children would possess citizenship in a country other than Nigeria, his country of birth.
No Matter the Second Country
In his initial declaration, he was so committed to this goal that he even mentioned that he wouldn’t mind if the second country were Madagascar; the key was to provide his kids with dual citizenship.
The Fulfillment of a Promise
Two years later, @_ThatCJ achieved his dream and returned to Twitter to share the update of successfully obtaining Canadian citizenship for himself and, presumably, his future children.
A Simple Confirmation
In a straightforward post, he quoted his old tweet along with an image of his new Canadian passport, marking the realization of his commitment.
Celebrating the Success
The post serves as a testament to determination and the fulfillment of a promise to secure a brighter future for his family by ensuring dual citizenship.
